Helping Kids, Teens, and Young Adults Engage, Grow, & Thrive

Miriam Erdosi provides in-person, specialized, therapy services in Orange County for young people navigating life's complexities. My focus is on fostering resilience, managing stress, and building healthy relationships in a safe, supportive environment.

Child Therapy

Little kids can have very BIG feelings and many have not yet been taught how to self-regulate these feelings.  I work with our littles to help identify their feelings, give kids permission to feel these emotions and teach age-appropriate ways to express them, manage them and get their needs met by the adults that love them.

Teen Therapy

Teenagers are on an endless journey to figure out who they are separate from their parents. Teens experience an overload of emotions on a daily basis and often struggle to express emotions in a healthy way.  I help validate their influx of emotions and teach teens how anxiety many times “takes over.”  I teach teens skill building and to become problem solvers, so that they may move successfully through these dynamic years.

Why In-Person Therapy?

Both in-person and virtual therapy can be helpful, and I know that online therapy has made mental health care more accessible for many families. At my practice, however, I believe that children, teens, and young adults often get the most out of therapy when they're in the room with their therapist.

Being together in person makes it easier to build trust and connection, notice body language and emotions, and respond in the moment. It also gives therapists more opportunities to use games, art, movement, and other hands-on activities that help younger clients express themselves in ways that don't always happen through a screen.

For many kids, teens, and young adults, coming to the office creates a special space that's just for them—a place away from the distractions of home where they can focus, open up, and feel supported. That dedicated environment often helps therapy feel more meaningful and engaging.

Young Adults

The transition into early adulthood can be particularly overwhelming.  Young adults often face a sudden shift from structured environments to navigating specific pressures, often multiple at a time.  I work with young adults to help foster identity formation and life skills while helping to clarify personal values, managing overwhelming goals into manageable “parts” and continue to set healthy relational boundaries.
