About Miriam
Hi, I'm Miriam.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. My goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive, and hopeful from the very beginning.
My specialty is helping children, adolescents, and young adults better understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, and build the confidence to face life's challenges. Central to this, I see my clients in-person. I believe meaningful change happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. Working with individuals in-person, and not over the internet, is the most effective way to build this trust and achieve successful results. When appropriate, I also partner with parents to support growth beyond each therapy session.
I focus on children, adolescents, and young adults up to 25. Utilizing a strength-based approach, I help young people identify negative patterns, master anxiety management, and build lifelong wellness tools. Growing up now is complex, yet achieving stability is within reach.
Every child, teen, and young adult has a unique story. I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted. Together, we'll identify challenges, build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop practical strategies that support growth both inside and outside our therapy sessions.
My goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms—it's to help young people develop the confidence and resilience they need to navigate life's challenges long after therapy ends.
Child Therapy
Little kids can have very BIG feelings and many have not yet been taught how to self-regulate these feelings. I work with our littles to help identify their feelings, give kids permission to feel these emotions and teach age-appropriate ways to express them, manage them and get their needs met by the adults that love them.

Teen Therapy
Teenagers are on an endless journey to figure out who they are separate from their parents. Teens experience an overload of emotions on a daily basis and often struggle to express emotions in a healthy way. I help validate their influx of emotions and teach teens how anxiety many times “takes over.” I teach teens skill building and to become problem solvers, so that they may move successfully through these dynamic years.
Why In-Person Therapy?
Both in-person and virtual therapy can be helpful, and I know that online therapy has made mental health care more accessible for many families. At my practice, however, I believe that children, teens, and young adults often get the most out of therapy when they're in the room with their therapist.
Being together in person makes it easier to build trust and connection, notice body language and emotions, and respond in the moment. It also gives therapists more opportunities to use games, art, movement, and other hands-on activities that help younger clients express themselves in ways that don't always happen through a screen.
For many kids, teens, and young adults, coming to the office creates a special space that's just for them—a place away from the distractions of home where they can focus, open up, and feel supported. That dedicated environment often helps therapy feel more meaningful and engaging.
Young Adults
The transition into early adulthood can be particularly overwhelming. Young adults often face a sudden shift from structured environments to navigating specific pressures, often, multiple at a time. I work with young adults to help foster identity formation and life skills while helping to clarify personal values, managing overwhelming goals into manageable “parts” and continue to set healthy relational boundaries.
