Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some commonly asked questions about my therapy practice.  Please feel free to reach out if your question is not answered below.

1. Who do you work with?

I help kids, teens, and young adults manage stress, social issues, school stress, and the transitions of growing into adulthood.

2. Where are you located?

Appointments are held in-person at my Laguna Hills office. I will share specific address information once we schedule your first appointment and begin the intake process.

3. How long is each session?

Meetings are typically 50 minutes. We'll decide on a schedule that best supports the specific needs of your child or you.

4. Do you offer consultations?

Yes. Call (949)339-0471 for a brief chat to see if we are a good fit and to go over any questions you might have.

5. Do you take any insurance?

I am an out-of-network therapist, but I can offer documentation for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement.  This is sometimes called a "superbill."

6. How do I get started?

Fill out my contact form, call (949)339-0471, or email therapistmim@gmail.com. I will follow up with you to schedule a time to talk and explore if my therapeutic approach is a good fit for you or your child.

7. What makes you different from other therapists?

I offer a warm, compassionate approach, using evidence-based therapeutic tools.  I recognize each clients is unique.  So, each client's treatment is specifically tailored to address the unique special needs and goals.  Trust is the foundation of each therapeutic relationship.  I offer a safe and welcoming environment to ensure each individual feels supported.  When appropriate, I  believe it is important to work with parents of young clients to ensure collaboration throughout the therapeutic process.

If you have more questions, call (949)339-0471 or email therapistmim@gmail.com and I'll be glad to help.
